Cup Car 2.0 – The Ultimate Immersion Build
The Cup Car 2.0 build has been underway since July with a goal of delivering the most visually immersive sim racing cockpit build yet.
With the new TWE Studio complete, the build has been making steady progress. From floor boards to roof, the rig has a full front enclosure and is starting to feel like sitting in the actual race car.
🔥 Stay tuned — More Cup Car 2.0 updates coming soon! 🔥

Setting the foundation: The Cup Car 2.0 rig started with triple 32” curved monitors paired with the Fanatec ClubSport DD+ wheelbase and V3 Inverted pedals. All this mounted to the rigid Sabelt S99 Cockpit. Clean lines, brutal precision — the perfect start for Cup Car 2.0.
One of the key components of the enclosure is a proper roof. Fashioned from 2 inch insulation foam and wraped in Alcantara like material, this roof adds the perfect mounting location for the ambient lighting, screen and stream deck.
A lot of gear has been tested for on the Cup Car 2.0. Here it is sporting the Moza R25 wheelbase, AB9 shifter and Simnet Handbrake.
Every detail matters. The center console, safety nets, and intricate design work transformed Cup Car 2.0 into more than a rig — it became a virtual cockpit.
Finally the Cup Car 2.0 gets the wheel update its been waiting for to bring it all together. The VPG 911 Cup wheel looks amazing on the rig and accompanied by an updated dashboard and center console, this is the most immersive the the rig has felt yet.
This build still has a ways to go but already delivers realism beyond anything I expected. The next steps will just add to the experience.
